It does not matter what your circumstances are; the instant you begin to thank God, even though your situation has not changed, you begin to change.
あなたがどんな状況に置かれているかは重要ではない。あなたが神に感謝を捧げ始めたその瞬間、たとえあなたの置かれた状況がまだ変わらなくても、あなたは変わり始めているからだ。
The key that unlocks the gates of heaven is a thankful heart.

Entrance into the courts of God comes as you simply begin to praise the Lord.

今回は、テキスト第七章から「最後の一歩」という一節をご紹介します。
最後の一歩は神が踏み出す
6..「I have said that the last step in the reawakening of knowledge is taken by God.
私がすでに述べたように、知識に再び目覚めるための最後の一歩は神が踏み出してくれます。」
最後の一歩とは、贖罪の完了、救済の達成、最後の審判、復活と呼ばれる最後の奇跡によって私たちがひとつになって真の世界に到達し、真の世界から天国に移行するプロセスのことです。
私たちは、真の世界に到達するまでの歩みを辿りますが、真の世界から天国への歩みは私たちの代わりに神が踏み出してくれます。
「Yet from this gate it is no more than just a step inside.

Chapter 7 The Gifts of the Kingdom

I. The Last Step
一 最後の一歩
1. The creative power of God and his creations is limitless, but they are not in reciprocal relationship.
神と神の創造物たちが持つ創造力は無限のものです。しかし、神の創造力と神の創造物たちの創造力とは、相互に等しく対応する相等関係にはありません。
You communicate fully with God, as he does with you.
神はあなたと現に完全なコミュニケーションを行っているのだから、あなたも神と完全にコミュニケーションを行っています。
This is an ongoing process in which you share, and because you share it, you are inspired to create like God.

Yet in creation you are not in a reciprocal relation to God, since he created you but you did not create him.

I have already told you that only in this respect your creative power differs from his.

Even in this world there is a parallel.

Parents give birth to children, but children do not give birth to parents.

They do, however, give birth to their children, and thus give birth as their parents do.

2. If you created God and he created you, the Kingdom could not increase through its own creative thought.
もしあなたが神を創造したのでありながら、その神があなたを創造したとすれば、王国はそれ自体の創造的思考を通して増大することはできなかったはずです。
Creation would therefore be limited, and you would not be co-creator with God.

As God's creative thought proceeds from him to you, so must your creative thought proceed from you to your creations.
神の創造的な思考が神からあなたへと進んでゆくように、あなたの創造的思考も、必ずあなたからあなたの創造するものたちへと進んでゆきます。
Only in this way can all creative power extend outward.
ただこのようにしてのみ、すべての創造的な力は外に向かって拡張することができます。
God's accomplishments are not yours, but yours are like his.
神が成就したことはあなたが成就したものではありませんが、あなたが成就したことは神が成就したのと同様なのです。
He created the Sonship and you increase it.
神は神の子全体を創造し、そして、あなたは神の子全体を増大させます。
You have the power to add to the Kingdom, though not to add to the Creator of the Kingdom.
あなたは、王国を増大させる力は持っているけれど、王国の創造主を増大させる力を持っているわけではないのです。
You claim this power when you become vigilant only for God and his Kingdom.
あなたが神とその王国のためにのみ絶えず警戒を怠らないようになるとき、あなたは、この王国を増大させる力をわがものとする資格を得るのです。
By accepting this power as yours you have learned to remember what you are.

3. Your creations belong in you, as you belong in God.
あなたが神に属しているのと同じように、あなたの創造するものたちはあなたに属しています。
You are part of God, as your sons are part of his sons.
あなたの子供たちが神の子らの一部であるように、あなたは神の一部です。
To create is to love.
創造することは、愛することです。
Love extends outward simply because it cannot be contained.
単純に愛は封じこめられることができないがゆえに、愛は外に向かって拡張します。
Being limitless it does not stop.
愛は限りないものであるがゆえに、愛の拡張が止まることはありません。
It creates forever, but not in time.
愛は永遠に創造し続けます。しかし、それは時間の中でのことではありません。
God's creations have always been and you can create only as God creates.

Eternity is yours, because he created you eternal.

4. The ego, on the other hand, always demands reciprocal rights, because it is competitive rather than loving.
他方で、エゴは必ず見返りを権利として要求します。なぜなら、エゴは愛するものではなく競い合うものだからです。
It is always willing to strike a bargain, but it cannot understand that to be like another means that no bargains are possible.
エゴはいつでも嬉々として取り引きしようとします。しかし、エゴには、自分と他者が同じものであることはいかなる取り引きも不可能なことを意味することが理解できません。
To gain you must give, not bargain.

To bargain is to limit giving, and this is not God's Will.

To will with God is to create like him.

God does not limit his gifts in any way.
神は、自身の贈り物を少しも制限しません。
You are his gifts, and so your gifts must be like his.

Your gifts to the Kingdom must be like his gifts to you.
あなたが王国に捧げる贈り物は、神からあなたへの贈り物と同じものでなければならないからです。
5. I gave only love to the Kingdom because I believed that was what I was.
私が愛だけを王国に捧げたのは、愛こそが私の本質だと信じたからです。
What you believe you are determines your gifts, and if God created you by extending himself as you, you can only extend yourself as he did.
あなたが自分は何者だと信じるかが、あなたの贈り物を決めます。そして、もし神が自分自身をあなたとして拡張することによってあなたを創造したのなら、あなたも神がしたように自分自身を拡張することしかできないはずです。
Only joy increases forever, since joy and eternity are inseparable.

God extends outward beyond limits and beyond time, and you who are co-creator with him extend his kingdom forever and beyond limit.
神は限界を越え、時間を越えて外に向かって拡張します。そして、神との共同創造者であるあなたは、永遠に限界を越えて神の王国を拡張します。
Eternity is the indelible stamp of creation.
永遠性は、消すことのできない創造の刻印です。
The eternal are in peace and joy forever.
永遠なるものは、永遠に平安と喜びの中にあります。
6. To think like God is to share his certainty of what you are, and to create like him is to share the perfect love he shares with you.
神と同じように考えることは、あなたが何者かについての神の確信を分かち合うことです。そして、神と同じように創造することは、神があなたと共有する完璧な愛を分かち合うことです。
To this the Holy Spirit leads you, that your joy may be complete because the Kingdom of God is whole.
このために、聖霊があなたを導いてくれます。神の王国は完全なので、聖霊の導きによって、あなた自身の喜びも完全なものとなるでしょう。
I have said that the last step in the reawakening of knowledge is taken by God.

This is true, but it is hard to explain in words because words are symbols, and nothing that is true need be explained.
これは真実ですが、言葉で説明するのは困難です。なぜなら、言葉は象徴にすぎないし、真実であるものは何の説明も必要としないからです。
However, the Holy Spirit has the task of translating the useless into the useful, the meaningless into the meaningful, and the temporary into the timeless.
しかしながら、聖霊は役に立たないものを役立つものに変え、無意味なものを意味あるものに変え、そして、一時的なものを時間のない永遠へと変換する任務を担っています。
He can therefore tell you something about this last step.

7. God does not take steps, because his accomplishments are not gradual.
神が複数の段階を辿ることはありません。なぜなら、神が成就することは徐々に進行するものではないからです。
He does not teach, because his creations are changeless.
神は教えることもしません。なぜなら、神が創造したものたちは不変の存在だからです。
He does nothing last, because he created first and for always.

It must be understood that the word "first" as applied to him is not a time concept.
神に対して用いられる「最初」という言葉は、時間的な概念ではないと理解しておかねばなりません。
He is first in the sense that he is the first in the Holy Trinity Itself.
神が最初であるというのは、神がまさに聖なる三位一体における第一位格にあることを意味します。
He is the Prime Creator, because he created his co-creators.
すなわち、神が自らの共同創造者たちを創造したがゆえに、神は根本的な創造主なのです。
Because he did, time applies neither to him nor to what he created.
神が自分の共同創造者たちを創造したがゆえに、時間は、神にあてはまらないだけでなく、神が創造したものたちにも適用されることはありません。
The "last step" that God will take was therefore true in the beginning, is true now, and will be true forever.
したがって、神が踏み出すことになる「最後の一歩」は、始まりにおいて真実であったし、今も真実であるし、そして、これからも永遠に真実であり続けます。
What is timeless is always there, because its being is eternally changeless.
時間のない存在は、つねに存在しています。なぜなら、その実在は永遠に不変だからです。
It does not change by increase, because it was forever created to increase.

If you perceive it as not increasing you do not know what it is.

You also do not know Who created it.

God does not reveal this to you because it was never hidden.

His light was never obscured, because it is his will to share it.

How can what is fully shared be withheld and then revealed?
